America is a society where those who say it get it and those who don’t get it lose it

I’m sure you’ve heard the saying, “In America, what you say is what you get.

I think it’s because the US has a cancellation culture and it’s easy to  return and refund

In Japan, it is common for people to keep quiet if they are dissatisfied with something, but in the U.S., it is easy to get a refund if you complain.

For example, using a food delivery service is generally more expensive than eating at a restaurant because it includes the delivery fee, but if the delivery person is not a good worker, he might deliver your order to the wrong place or eat some portion without permission. Sometimes even the restaurants don’t follow the customer’s request  and if you complain about it, there is a good chance that you will get a refund or a big discount on your next order.

I wondered how unequal the society was, but in the U.S., it is important to speak up and by doing it, you have the chance to win. This is a place as well, where you can say anything that suits you and it’s acceptable. So if you tell a lie, it will often work.

The U.S. is a strange society where even dishonesty is often accepted, but since there are so many unscrupulous people and problems are likely to occur in many places, I don’t think it makes much sense to check the correctness of every claim. I think it’s because there are always problems.

It’s the nature of the world that whoever says it gets it, and whoever does it first gets it. I think that’s why American services start at 70-80% instead of aiming for perfection. Of course, not only in service, but also in any new project, people tend to do things at around 70%, which causes problems. Even so, we live in a society where it is important to speak up, so when problems arise, we ask people to speak up and solve them one by one.

This idea of “the one who says it gets it” can also be seen in American web services and applications. Twitter, for example, is an American company, but on Twitter, if someone with the power  speaks out  people tend to believe and influence. Sometimes, influential people  are instructed to lie. I think it’s not important whether it’s a lie or not, but how much you say it and how much support you get.

Many other websites make their profits from advertising, but whether the content is true or false, it is irrelevant in making a profit . It’s all about what you can say and get people to say it. On Facebook, the more likes you get or the more friends you have, even if they are fake, the more you stand out and the more power you have to speak out.

In other words, it’s a cunning society in a sense. Because of the first-mover advantage, people who don’t have opportunities or ideas can’t even do anything, which makes a big difference from people who have many opportunities. This can be money, connections, intelligence, or something else that makes you better than others.

The world seems to have a hard time accepting such inequality, but surprisingly, in countries other than Japan, the disparity is so great. Some people want to speak up but they don’t know how. Others don’t even notice the problems, or they just don’t say anything, or they  can’t  and just smile. Unfortunately youwill have to live without realizing that you are being taken advantage of and losing money. So, being able to say something is also an ability.

I think the US has always been a country where the first thing you do is say what you want. In some of the wars that the U.S. has caused in the past, the U.S. misunderstood and was overconfident, and it messed up the other countries. Americans have this “win-at-all-costs” mentality. Trump has also said some random things, in his administration he paid attention to some issues related to  China and sharply criticized it  , which previous presidents had avoided. I think that in many countries, the more you see and the more you say, the better. It is an unreasonable society.

If the person’s level is low, the content of what he or she says may be strange or frivolous, and it is easy to evaluate him or her and say, “This person doesn’t know himself or herself well,” or “He or she is just a talker. It’s a society where the first person to say something is the winner, and it’s easy to see that there are some people in the world that you shouldn’t get along with.
